How to Grow Hair in a Week

Maybe you regret your new haircut or want to grow your hair out for an upcoming event. Whatever your reasons may be, there are some practical steps you can take to speed up your hair growth. Try nourishing hair treatments like a warm oily scalp massage, create a hair care routine to keep your hair stress-free, and consume nutrients known to aid hair growth (such as protein and biotin). The amount your hair can grow in a week is limited, but a little extra attention to your hair will maximize its growth in a short time.




Give a warm oily scalp massage. In a warm oily scalp massage, using natural oils, the health of the scalp is increased and hair growth is supported. Oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba and argan oil can all be used during this massage. Note that there is no scientific evidence that warm scalp massages cause faster hair growth.
Start by heating the oil in a bowl of hot water. Test the oil before using it to make sure it's not boiling hot, so it won't damage your hair or scalp and is at a comfortable temperature.
Using your fingertips (not your nails), gently massage your scalp with warm oil in a slow, circular motion. If you have a partner or friend with you, ask them to help you massage your scalp. Massage your scalp for about 3 minutes with your fingertips.
Then apply the oil towards the ends of your hair and let it sit for about 30 minutes. To degrease your hair, probably more than once, with a nice shampoo.
Do the oil massage on the days when you shampoo your hair so you don't have to wash your hair more often than usual.



Make a hair mask. Pay some close attention to your hair and encourage hair follicles to grow faster by applying a hair mask once or twice a week. You can make your own natural oil mask or buy an over-the-counter hair mask at the drugstore or personal care products store.
Mix one glass (230 ml) of coconut oil with one tablespoon (15 ml) of almond oil, macadamia oil, and jojoba oil. Apply the mask to your wet hair and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then wash and condition your hair the way you always do.
To avoid excessive washing, use the hair mask on the days when you shampoo your hair.



Try a castor oil treatment. Castor oil is known for its beneficial effects on skin and hair. Using castor oil hair mask can help hair grow faster and healthier.
Start by massaging your hair with castor oil and let the oil drain from your hair. Wrap your hair and head with a plastic shower cap so the oil stays where it is. You can lay a towel over your pillow to avoid soiling the pillowcase, as some oil will likely leak from under the bonnet.
Let the oil sit overnight. The next morning, wash your hair as you always do and make sure that all the oil is removed with the conditioner.



Rinse it off with apple cider vinegar. In addition to removing dust, dirt and oil that has accumulated in your hair, apple cider vinegar can also be very effective for the residue of hair care products. You can use apple cider vinegar as a natural alternative on days when you are not shampooing your hair, or you can apply it right after your regular shampoo and conditioner routine.
Add two tablespoons of vinegar to two glasses of water and rinse your hair with this mixture. Although the water smells of strong vinegar, this odor will decrease over time.
